I can't wait to see your afghan! I hope the dent you make in your stash is a little bigger than mine (I don't think I will EVER use up all that I have accumulated -- oops). And you lucky gal -- a thrift store within walking distance. I'm jealous. How's the scarf coming along? I sent my out last week.

Oh, the Goodwill is addictive, isn't it? I found some really cute Martha Stewart dishes at one near us the other day -- at half price too! And I also rescue crocheted and knitted things from estate sales, auctions, wherever I find them -- some a little iffy (end up in the Littles' playhouse) but some that are still quite lovely and usable.
A couple of months ago, I started a scrap afghan using Bella Dia's pattern, and my goodness, the thing is huge! I even reduced the number of foundation chain stitches from 250 to 200. Anyhoo, thankfully my son says he would like to have it when I'm done, and the bigger the better ;-).
Love your lovely blog!
Blessings,
G

You have such a good eye for spotting great Goodwill finds. I don't seem to have a very artistic eye so when I visited the new Goodwill I probably went right on by some good finds.
