Today we celebrated my daughter Carlee's 5th birthday at a park near our home. The morning was stormy but luckily it cleared in time for the party. I had all sorts of plans for handmade goodies (a birthday crown, a new party dress, a fabric banner a homemade cake) however, procrastination and lake of baking skills abolished those. The cakes we made stuck to pan because I let them sit to long. Ca sera, my intentions were good. Things turned out well anyhow and we had a good day.
Carlee is my second child. She is full of life, energy, and plenty of attitude. She's also girly to the bone and loves anything pink. She's is the complete opposite of me (which makes me love her even more) and has this sorta charisma that causes everyone to fall in love with her. She wanted to be a cheerleader when she grows up but recently changed it to a teacher. I'm glad. I can't believe she's five already. Happy Birthday Baby.
A few highlights from the day:
My girls sharing, love it when that happens.
Jake catching tadpoles, he couldn't stay away from the water.
And just taking it all in.
Heather & Family,
I really enjoyed visiting your site and seeing pictures of your family. You do awesome work and I definately will tell others to visit. I still think of you as the teenage girl from many years ago, cannot believe you are now a Mother yourself! You are an inspiration to all mothers!!!
Love,
Wanda
