The start of another school year *insert exhausted sigh here*. Its my son's last year in elementary school and my daughter's first year. In one more year all three of my kids will be in school. It never ceases to amaze me at how fast time goes by. We all are having some difficulty adjusting to the changes in our routine, especially the morning routine. I've always been a night owl and had trouble waking up on time despite having worked a day job for the past 10 years. This is a little embarrassing to admit but my parents still have to wake me up in the mornings by calling until the answering machine picks up and then yelling my name until I answer it. And sometimes that dosen't even work. It must be wonderful to be a morning person, though. I dream of easy mornings, no rushing, no panicking, no running late, then I wake up and realized I've overslept again! I've also started new school year. I've been working on my associates degree in accounting and am now entering my second year. When I started this blog I was on a little break from school so now that I've started back I'm sure there will be long gaps in my postings in the near future *insert yet another sigh*. To change the topic a little, I am trying to let the kids help out more around the house. I say let because I am a little bit of a control freak when it comes to housework. Sure I complain all the time that no one helps me out around the house but really I won't let anyone help because I like things done a certain way. So my girls, tired of hearing mama complain and being guinuely sweet souls, keep asking to help me cook and clean. And I've decided its time to change my ways a little and let them help.

Aside from cooking, they've also been watering the houseplants and learning to fold the laundry. And as soon as they learn to mop, do algebra, and write an essay I'll be on easy street.
