despite my lack of blogging. I've just felt quiet lately. I blame it on the unusually cold, wet winter we are experiencing. Most nights I just want to hibernate under the covers rather than sit at the computer or the sewing machine. We actually had a good bit of snow here in the south recently. It was short lived but thoroughly enjoyed by the kids.
I have managed to crawl out from under the covers (so to speak) a few times and complete some craft projects. I finally made use of my new craft nook and sewed a sewing machine cover. The construction was simple and quick enough. It's basically a tote bag without handles.
I added the ruffled bias tape just to fancy it up a bit. It's also reversible but, being the bad blogger that I am, I forgot to take a picture of that.
And I know that Valentine's Day is far behind us, but I still would like to share the paper heart mobile I made with my daughters' help. They cut, I sewed and tied.
I've also made good progress on my stash-busting granny square Afghan.
Only I'm not exactly busting my yarn stash as I intended. I loved the color combination of the Afghan so much that I went out and bought more of the same yarn to start another crochet project with. But I'll save that project for another post.
