My two oldest daughters love headbands and have a growing collection. It's always been a challenge to find a neat way to organize all those headbands. I think I've finally found a solution and I'm happy to share how I made a Headband Holder...
The supplies ::
An empty container with a lid ( the Quaker Oats container happens to be the perfect size )
Decorative Duct Tape
Ribbon
Also needed - scissors and a drill
Step one ::
Cover the lid and bottom of the container with the Duct Tape like in the picture below.
Step two ::
Start wrapping the tape around the outside of the container. I cut seperate strips and tried my best to match up the pattern on the tape. I also made sure the seams were on the same side.
Step three ::
Drill or punch a hole (big enough to thread your ribbon through) in the center of the lid and bottom.
Step four ::
Cut a length of ribbon as long as needed (depending on how low you want the holder to hang). I cut my ribbon about 36 inches long. Thread the ribbon through the bottom and knot, then through the lid and knot.
Now hang your Headband Holder and start organizing all those headbands! You can also store hairbows inside.
Love it! I need to make one also, i have a lot of headbands!
