May Giveaway Day!

 

I'm so excited to be participating in Sew Mama Sew's May Giveaway Day! I usually miss these kind of things. I didn't have time to sew something special for this event so I thought I would give away the next best thing...fabric!

I have a little bundle of fabric scraps from my stash, some vintage, along with some coral and blue embroidery floss to give away. The size of the fabric pieces vary, but all are a bit smaller than a fat quarter and all are woven cotton. All the prints have a "dainty" flower theme perfect for summer sewing projects.

 

The May Giveaway official starts on Wednesday May 27 and I will keep my giveaway open until May 31. Birds, Bees, and Circles

I've admired the fabric circles I've seen hanging on walls all over blogland for some time. I even stockpiled embroidery hoops found at thrift shops and today I actually got around to hanging some.

 

I love the look of these and what a clever way to display your favorite prints. It completes my little sewing nook and inspires me to see them on the wall.

 

I got this little piece of fabric in a swap I participated in last year. I love it and it was really too small to do much with. This was the perfect solution.

New fabric from FabricWorm, a list of quick sewing projects, an easy supper of grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken noodle soup and happy children. What more could I ask for?

Swap Happiness

Look at what was waiting for me in the mail today.

I'm a very happy girl. All of this came from my Swap-bot swap partner, Karen. Thank you again Karen. She made the Clothespin cutie from a favorite blogger of mine's kit and the pin cushion was made from her Oma's fabric. This is the reason I love swaps. I love sending presents and I love recieving them.

Tonight I'm sorting my ever growing fabric stash.
